The PNL project was born in 2016 from the merger of two of the most competitive lofts in Portugal: Irmãnos Lobato (Lisbon district) and Penas & Nogueira (Faro district). This collaboration is based on a consolidated friendship and the objective of maximizing results, focusing on the excellence of the pigeons and their very high quality genealogy.
Since the early years, the GNP project has won numerous titles thanks to the selection of pigeons of noble origins such as Kannibaal, Van Loon, Flor Engels, Marcel Sangers, and other prestigious names. In 2017, the results were not long in coming, with victories in the districts and communities of Castro Marim, Guadiana, and Hortas.
The team's ambition didn't stop there: in 2019, the partnership expanded with the involvement of Guerreiro and the creation of a new team in the Pigeon Village of Vila Real Santo Antonio. In 2022, the project further evolved with the birth of the Grade & Nascimento & PNL team, further consolidating the group's leadership position.
2024 was a year to remember for PNL, with provincial titles and victories in all race categories. Among the most notable successes:
1st Provincial Short Distance Champion (Zones S1+S2 and S2).
1st Provincial middle distance champion (Zone S2).
Victory in 24 races with numerous Top 15 finishes, including:
1st Montalvo (11.261 pigeons).
1st Covilhã (9.417 pigeons).
Also in 2023, the team maintained very high levels, with 13 victories and provincial titles in all distances.
The strength of the project lies in the quality of the pigeons, the result of meticulous selection. Among the prominent names:
Blue Angel: winner of ACE Pigeon all-round and middle distance titles.
Blue Turbo: ACE Pigeon middle distance champion.
Miss Canary, Iron Lady, and Turbo 1: super racers with numerous victories, including provincial races.
With a list of awards that includes over 12 all-round, 10 short distance and 12 middle distance titles between 2017 and 2024, the PNL project confirms itself as one of the most competitive realities in Portuguese and international pigeon racing. The dedication to constant improvement and the focus on the genetic excellence of the pigeons are the key factors of the team's success.
